Chief Marketing and Development Officer

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing the overall business marketing and communications plan, as well as a fund development plan for the organization.  Key factors for success are increased customer attraction and engagement with our services and products, employee attraction, engagement, and awareness of agency services and products, and engagement and growth of donors, grant funders, and volunteers. 

The CMDO must excel at relationship building, able to adapt his or her communication style to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's and/or CFRE preferred), in Marketing, Communications, Business, Not-for-Profit Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of management experience in positions of increasing responsibility related to business marketing and/or fundraising, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to lead change, collaborate across disciplines and influence cross-functionally in a service-oriented environment.
  • Strategic and creative thinker who is comfortable and enjoys working with data.
  • Excellent project management skills including influencing, leading, negotiating and delegating.
  • Creative storyteller with exceptional writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop and foster productive relationships internally and externally.
  • Positive attitude and team player who welcomes collaborative decision making.
  • Proven team management skills and ability to develop colleagues.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to interact with high-level individuals and groups.
  • Experience working with external marketing and public relations firms.
  • Demonstrated up-to-date skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
